When will you tell yourself the truth? You are not “all that and a bag of chips!” Really! No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. A recognized sign of maturity is to admit your mistakes, shortcomings, and failures. Admissions opposed to denials will curtail excuses. Once the excuses stop, ownership can begin. You can “own” and take responsibility for your mistakes. You can see beyond yourself because everything is not about you and your perceived perfections. Sounds fair? Be progressive! Eliminate the excuses; do something about them. You will find that when you stop making excuses, you will have nothing from which to be excused! You will then be like the rest of us -imperfect!
