“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!”
When a person fails to do what he / she said that they would do – time and time again -, why do you continue to believe that this time, the person will come through? Answer that! Perhaps, he was more convincing this time around. Unfortunately, the truth knows him not! Stop believing him! Stop thinking that he will do right by you! Wake up and smell the coffee. If you don’t, you will continue to believe in a false person; and his false hopes, lies, and broken promises. Here’s the upside! This time, you realized for yourself that you were dealing with a low life. You didn’t need your posse to remind you. Kudos; that was a major step! The echo, “I told you so” is your resounding voice. Stop, listen, believe, and trust your gut! It’s your voice. A masochist, you are not! So stop slapping yourself in the face because no one is bruised and injured but you. The liar, the main cause of your troubles, has no scars and his skin is blemish free! Don’t feel embarrassed or shameful. Instead, be thankful that you have moved on!
