Posts Tagged ‘A tragedy at church that the nation saw and felt’
“Amazing Grace” is a classic gospel song and our Prez classically sang it yesterday – James Cleveland style! Yes, he did! Though not a man of the cloth (although you couldn’t tell the difference as he spiritually and presidentially stood tall in Emanuel AME Church), our multitalented President of the United States of America eulogized the state senator and Rev. Clementa Pinckney in Charleston, South Carolina with a delivery style that was as heartfelt as it was spiritual. In his stirring eulogy, he touched upon the tragic lost of nine lives, the confederate flag, gun violence, the need for the country to heal and deal with its racial problems, and the love that is needed to press forward. Yes, God’s everlasting grace was there yesterday as our 44th President, Barack Obama spiritually and eloquently “took the nation to church” on a Friday afternoon.
