The battle of the sexes continues.
Who are the biggest gossipers – men or women?
Stand up and raise your hand if you know the answer!
According to several recent polls, the answer is – Men!
Are you surprised?
Listen up!
Men gossip 76 minutes a day compared to women who toll at 52 minutes daily. The facts continue.
Men prefer to gossip in the office, whereby women prefer spreading their talk at home.
What are the predominant topics for the male and female gossipers?
For men: The most attractive women in the office, male conquests,
promotions, salaries.
For women: Other women, family feuds, fashion errors, neighbors.
Women prefer not to gossip with their partners. It’s more entertaining to tell their stories to a friend.
Speaking of rumors, please note this statistic. 1 in 10 men compared to 4% of women spread rumors.
There is a saying, “Gossip will spread around the world before the truth gets started!” The assumption was that women led the gossip train of travel. Now you have it! The myth has been dispelled. The culprits of gossip are men. The chin wagging males have been found out! No longer gossip, the truth rests with the facts. Numbers don’t lie … even when the gossip mill and rumors do!

I am sorry! Please know that you are not the center of mine! I make better use of my time! Talking about you is not one of them. Time is too precious to be wasted!
I am not suggesting that you are a waste of time…but I cannot afford for you to occupy space in my mind! In fact, I have wasted five minutes already telling you that very fact!

I have frequently heard my great nieces and nephews say to a third party, “This is an A / B conversation, no C’s allowed.” Translated, that quote essentially means, “Mind your business!” After all, the joining talker wasn’t invited to the conversational “party.” Wouldn’t it be simpler, easier, and less work, if we stayed out of other folks’ affairs? By doing so, it would provide us with a timeless opportunity to improve our inadequacies rather than get involved with others’ issues. Just think how much better we would be and how much extra time we would have to concentrate on whatever suits our fancy! As comedian Flip Wilson once said, “Loose lips sink ships!” Indeed, they do; so stay afloat by stop being so nosey!
