HOW THE PANDEMIC HAS BROUGHT FAMILIES TOGETHER

Vernalee

By Vernalee

Being together has shown and taught us much. This pandemic forced us to slow down and inseparably put us together for longer periods of time. We talk more, play more board games, and for many we got to know (and like) each other much better than before. If there is a silver lining, the togetherness was it. There were kids who actually did not know what their parents did until they saw them work from home. Parents begin to better appreciate the role that teachers played in their children lives when they had to supervise at home learning. We have learned to zoom and do other miracles on the computer. The list of learning and discoveries continues. More importantly, we have learned to talk to and listen to each other. So I guess you can say - Being stuck together brought us closer together.
