By definition, the phrase 'No good deed goes unpunished' is a "sardonic commentary on the frequency with which acts of kindness backfire on those who offer them. In other words, those who help others are doomed to suffer as a result of their being helpful." Though cynical, there may be some truth in that quote. But for me, I will stay on my path to do good. I feel better doing good. Don’t you? Doing good things and being helpful have their advantages. Besides, that is my reward to myself! Being rewarded by others has never been the reason that I do what I do!
