"THE LION DOES NOT TURN AROUND WHEN A SMALL DOG BARKS"

By Vernalee

There are days when external sounds dominate our space. Those sounds can interfere and disturb the flow of our day and our life. You can’t cut them out, but you can decide what you allow in; what your ears hear. You simply have to be selective and ignore the noise; particularly noise of no significance that doesn’t really matter. You have to stay in your lane, continue your drill, and not stop or turn around at every sound that you hear. It can interfere and hinder progress. Sometimes, you even have to keep the disruptive human chatterboxes out! They’ll take you off your game for sure. You simply cannot afford to get distracted. Determining and prioritizing, (though hard it may be), what you allow in and what you keep out is the key to staying on course so that you can accomplish your goals. Be as the lion who does not turn when a small dog barks.
