TWO STEPS FORWARD ONE STEP BACK

Everyday is not the same. We experience different settings daily. Some days bring joy; some sadness; joy, happiness, challenges - we run the gambit of emotions. Determine to make the best of each day, we can be met with challenges, but we keep going. We keep walking. Our steps are not always clear; not always calculated. Some days, we take 2 steps forward only to be met with backward movements. Let me describe what I mean.

“Two steps forward, one step back" is an idiom that means making progress, but then experiencing setbacks that temporarily move you backwards. It can also imply that you need to change your approach to achieve your goals.

  • This idiom suggests that setbacks are a natural part of the process of making progress.

  • It can also mean that you need to learn from your failures and embrace them as part of your growth.

  • It can also be a reminder that you should not be discouraged by setbacks, but instead be persistent.”  Through it all, we have to keep stepping. How else will we reach our destination? To stop means to give up! Do the math. Two steps forward, one step back still puts you one step ahead!
